Concussion treatment info
Written by oa on January 9, 2012 – 10:15 pm -The seriousness of a concussion dictates what kind of treatment you should seek. Be it severe or mild concussion treatment, it aims at relieving its symptoms. Football, hockey, and soccer have high potential for head injury, and player research has given insight into what symptoms may occur. A mild concussion may involve no loss of consciousness (feeling “dazed”) or a very brief loss of consciousness (being “knocked out”).
Retrograde amnesia is where you are unable to remember events that occurred before the concussion happened. Historically, athletes who sustained mild concussions and did not lose consciousness were returned to play as soon as their symptoms cleared, oftentimes on the same day of the initial injury. Concussions are traumatic head injuries that occur from both mild and severe blows to the head.
